ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
THURSDAY 13th NOVEMBER 2008 at 7.45pm
The main business of this meeting is to elect the Field Geology Club’s committee for 2009. All committee positions will be open for nomination, and anyone over 18 years who has been a member of the club for 12 months or more can nominate, or be nominated, for any position. A nomination form is included in this Bulletin. Please fill it in and bring it to the meeting with you. Being a committee member is not an onerous job. There are only six bi-monthly committee meetings, held on Monday nights in the FGC supper room in the Mawson Building.
It is a great feeling to know that you are contributing to the smooth running and advancement of such an active and interesting club, while making good friends at the same time. As there is no lecture, members are asked to bring some slides, photos and specimens to show after the election is completed. Please also bring a plate of supper to share.
The meeting will be held in the Mawson Lecture Theatre, Mawson Laboratories, corner of Victoria Drive and Frome Road, University of Adelaide at 7.45 pm. Members and visitors are warmly invited to attend. We are obliged for security reasons to keep the front door of the building locked, so please use the special Field Geology Club doorbell for admittance.
