Membership of the Club costs $35 a year (adult or family) or $30 a year (student or pensioner).The financial year starts 1st October. Members joining after March do so at a reduced rate. Our membership currently (2007) stands at 130

Each month (January excluded) members receive in the mail the Club newsletter, called the Bulletin which is produced from information and contributions sent to the editor by members. On each field trip a "Scribe" is appointed to record the event and this information is written up in the Bulletin for all to read. Normally there are 12 pages of news and data. So far we are up to Volume 36 , No 10, November 2007). The Bulletin is held by State and National libraries. An abridged version can be read by accessing "Bulletin Briefs" from the LHS of our home page.

Club Officers and Committee for 2008

The Club AGM was held on 8th November 2007. All positions were declared vacant and open for election. According to the Club Constitution no member can hold a particular position for more than five consecutive years, and one must be a member of the club for one year to be eligible for election. Accordingly, members were elected to the following positions together with six general committee members.

Committee Meetings : The following dates have been set for 2008 meetings to be held in the Seminar Room adjacent to the Mawson Lecture Theatre at 7.30pm, unless otherwise advised. Usually the first Mondays of the month: Feb 4, April 7, June 2, August 4 , September , November .
